10.8km along the beach, over the Barwon Heads Bridge and along a concrete path for a bit. I passed 1000km for the year today, 630-odd of it barefoot, so that's something to celebrate. Plenty of people out on the beach this morning, including a fitness 'bootcamp' complete with the shouting trainer who referred to the people as 'recruit', which made me laugh. Seriously, who pays money for that kind of treatment?
On the negative side, my feet are a bit niggly at the moment. 3km in I felt a bit of pain in my left arch and almost stopped, fearing PF, but it went away quickly. Later, I had this weird thing where it felt like my 3rd and 4th toes were being pulled down when I lifted my foot, kinda like I had cotton from my socks caught around them. That too went away eventually. Now my feet are generally achey and I'm feeling a bit bruised at the base of the 4th met, or the ring toe (I think I'm counting from the right end!) on one foot - I have no idea how you get sore there, but I did. That's not to say I regret the run, of course.
