Im sick. Ick.

So this week a new challenge. Running when you feel like crap. Ha. I have the first sore throat chesty thing(cold?) that Ive had in ages, possibly years. I dont like it. But Ive been running anyway. I just cant see "not running" as an option anymore. And I cant believe I just said that.

Really.

That was me. Dang.

The little dialogue that runs through my head, (Im sure its only 2 of my personalities..) well, it nearly drives me crazy. Its kind of like..

"Youre sick. You can stop here."

"What?? No, I dont think so."

"Yeah, ashort run isfine when youre feeling crappy. Your immune system needs the energy. Turn around here."

"No way. Youwent twice this far yesterday. Just keep going."

"No, seriously. You should stop. There's no shame."

"I can do this. Shut the#*@%up." (That would be "heck" in there.)

And then I just keep doing it, but its been MAJORmental work. I mean, A REAL BATTLE.Ick. Think its time to get me some music. (My daughter washed my ipodwith her laundry.)

I wonder ifanyoneelse is a nut job. Im betting yeah.

Drink some orange juice about a half hour before you run, if you're going to keep running through a cold. It will help the run to go easier, give you some energy, and you will be adding vitamin C and nutrients back into your body, so you don't deplete yourself as easily. Get well!
