According to ismoothrun my cadence this morning was 80 spm max 93. Is that to slow or should I multiply it by 2x. Or maybe I'm just a slow bf runner, avg pace 9:40.
Jason, that doesn't jibe with my experience. I look down at my feet and feel pretty confident that they're landing just in front of my center of mass. Is there any reason I should doubt my self-perception? I've been thinking of running past my video cam anyway, maybe this will motivate me.I tell people to shoot for that when beginning because it's easier to measure than where your feet are landing in relation to your body.

Cool, now I can put off shooting video and frustrate B&A a little longer . . .No, trust yourself.

Can't be too patient if you're refusing to make the barefoot transition . . .
Just spectators...lol....why would I need to run barefoot when I have "barefoot shoes"?
Btw, I have vids of me running barefoot. What about you ??

If your goal is to frustrate B&A, shoot a vid using your best ChiRunning impression, then post that.
You look good, a lot like I do (minus the minor middle-age paunch) as I run past shop windows. If you pay for airfare, I'll be happy to come down to Louisiana mid-winter and help you make the transition to real existing barefoot running.Just happened to be working with a runner on technique today and got some video of my current running cadence, enjoy
