Looking forward to running this event barefoot in February 2013 supporting a very worthy cause. If you are going to this event please let me know so that we can meet up and get some pics to help the organizers grow the event in the future. Hope we can get our BRS chapters connecting on this. I...
http://www.markallenonline.com/maoArticles.aspx?AID=2 For all my barefoot/min friends who are running in the MAF zone and getting frustrated this is a motivating article. I am seeing positive results over time shaving 3 minutes off my 5K time. Enjoy
I am so looking forward to the MCM. Following up from my barefoot Sarasota Half Marathon I have been running within within my Most Aerobic Function zone. Just did a 15 miler a couple of days ago with some walk and water breaks. All the best to those getting ready for marathons.
Wonderful 7 mile barefoot run on the beach and in the zone. Was inspired to create this mantra. "Treasure the training, relish the race, finish triumphant with a smile on your face."
I was fortunate enough to sign up for this event. Any other BRS members running in this?

What a great barefoot Sunday run and fun in the sun on the sand. Gorgeous day. Warren Dickey was there with his family and Chris Gkikas brought his unbridled passion for our sport. Five of us ran a couple of miles, three of us enjoyed about 6 and Chris went on to make it around 10. We also had...

Yesterday I ran a half marathon distance barefoot through glorious sleet, surf, waves, rain, waist high puddles, soggy sand. Full on fun. Thanks to the inspiration from Chris G's " accidental half" on Sunday I had to keep going.
Another fun BRS Siesta Key First Sunday Barefoot Run. We ran about 10 miles together with stretch and refreshment breaks. Chris Gkikas went on to run an extra 3.6 miles for a half marathon total distance. Well done Chris!
I am looking forward to running in this event. Hope to meet up with some fellow BRS folks there. http://www.active.com/framed/event_detail.cfm?CHECKSSO=0&EVENT_ID=1942058
Really enjoyed a light, easy, smooth barefoot run today at sunrise on Siesta Key beach. Looking forward to our group run on Sunday. This is a great beach for kids since the gulf is so shallow. Hope you all can visit for a run some time. It costs much less than Disney which is a couple of hours away.
I feel very fortunate that I have work to do and that I often need to travel to support clients and partners in the US and other countries. Time away is always packed with meetings, presentations and other work. I seldom make the time to run. So after returning from my recent trip I got to run...

Just got back from the UK where were rowing in the City of Cambridge Bumps. This is a four evening event where eights attempt to bump the crew in front before getting bumped by the crew behind. My barefoot running had really helped my fitness. We were doing well until one of our crew broke his...

I was up at 5:00 A.M. on Saturday and really looking forward to running the Siesta Key Firecracker 5K. We then had a powerful lightening and thunderstorm that resulted in the event being canceled. I have been healing up an annoying cut on the sole that I got from a sharp rock while swimming on...
