BF Renewal

It's been awhile since I've run barefoot; in fact, well over two years. But in the two years I've kept up my running in my favorite Merrill Trail Runners focusing on 5k & 10k distances (marathons don't interest me). Most recently I've focused on shorter distances and speed (hill sprints, flat sprints, ~20 runs). My cardiovascular condition is great (BP <120/60 & resting pulse ~45). But, however awesome the Merrill's are they're not the same as barefoot running.

Maybe inspired by watching the Los Angeles Marathon today or hearing the Ken Bob Saxton radio interview on KFI last week, I decided to start barefoot running again. Structurally my feet are strong, but after my 5 minute BF run this morning I know I need to restart slowly and let my natural feedback do its work. Every week I'll run BF every other day and add 5 minutes each week (unless my feet tell me otherwise) until I meet my time goal (probably 1 hour or less).
