2 miles :: 10 minute pace
Six days since Griffith Park and I hadn't really tested my soles. Except for sore calves, my feet felt great. The ball of my left foot, so sore this week, felt good, just minor discomfort. On the hilly descents I let go and ran without the usual apprehension. I was outpacing another shod runner. A little girl yelled to her mom about "the man running without shoes." Ismiled. A dog walker called me brave. Oh ye, of little faith.
Although short, this was the first BF run that felt natural. No sole, ankle, or knee pain. Toward the end of the run I hit a rough patch with my the ball of my left foot that elicited the experienced earlier in the week, but it abated in short order. I considered another mile, but wanted to relish the progress, and Ihad run nearly 5 yesterday.
