What is the worst thing you've ever stepped on?

We've had a lot of dead

We've had a lot of dead little critters here as of late that I've had to try to dodge. There was a dead squirrel, dead bird, and several dead mice on my normal running path. I stepped on a couple of the dead mice because they were slightly covered from leaves on the sidewalk. Ick. Didn't tell my wife about that part. She wouldn't have let me back in the house.
