Don't neglect the buns.

I tried to engage my glutes last year, while trail running. What I discovered, the hard way, was that you can not engage muscles that are weak. Deep, huh? Not only that, it ended up in disaster, because then my weak butt muscles got strained during that run and then I couldn't run for awhile. Now that I do butt muscle exercises fairly regularly, now my butt muscles naturally engage while I am running.
