Chris McDougall brought the Born To Run Naked Tour to Asheville NC on 4/30/2011. He was accompanied by Scott Jurek, Eric Orton, and Will Harlan.

Danny Dyer, creator of ChiRunning, was a surprise guest and started out the event with a short demo on running and then led us on a 3-4 mile fun run on the UNC-A trails. A friend of mine who is pictured with Chris and Danny in the slide show was especially thrilled to see Danny as she had taken a course with him several years ago which eliminated her reoccurring running injuries. She completed an Iron Man last year.
I had the embarrassment of tripping on a root while running in front of Chris. The run was great fun! After the run there was a great presentation by Chris, Will, Scott, and Eric. They were all super nice and amazing folks to meet.
Will Harlan is an Asheville local, a five-time Mount Mitchell Ultra champion, winner of the 2009 Copper Canyon Ultramarathon, and editor- in-chief of Blue Ridge Outdoors MagazineWill showed this short documentary of his 2009 Copper Canyon Experience, (www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bAeRSKiTUY).
