Apparent Temperature

That chart is pretty ridiculous! I am a firm believer in the heat index or true-feel concept and making some adjustment due to the humidity. Living in hot, humid, eastern NC, I know for sure that high temps plus high humidity can be way more miserable than high temps with lower humidity. But according to that chart, most folks in my town would be DEAD after the heat wave we just had!

@MicheleStitches: our recent trip to the USA made it clear for me once again that indeed high temp plus high humidity can feel much worse than lower humidity...
We noticed that in 'dry' states like Utah, Arizona... temperatures that would have been unbearable in Belgium actually felt rather fine in dry circumstances...
