Recommendations for 11 year old just starting out

I've been BF for about a year now and truly enjoying it. My son just started middle school and is joining the running club. Since he is just starting out I wanted to get some suggestions on the best shoe he should begin with. Middle school assimilation is already a challenge so I am not going to even suggest he even try BF or VFF however, I would like to get him on the minimalist "path".

Any suggestions as to which shoes would be good for him?
