I can get a better feel for the speed of the greens as well by being barefoot. The only time my feet slip is if I try to kill a driver of the tee. But you are right, my putting has improved by golfing barefoot. It's funny Dutchie; I heard about barefoot golfing long before barefoot running. Like the mainstream view of bfr, it was mentioned as a driving range/practice and drill tool to improve balance. But, I remember a guy on some golf competition show who played exclusively barefoot (would have been 2006-ish when I saw that). I really enjoy walking 18 holes barefoot (and it really helps my putting game to feel the slope of the greens!).
