Kinesiology Taping has long been a technique used by clinicians and athletes worldwide. It wasn't until the 2008 Olympics and especially the 2012 Olympics that the public began to learn more about this innovating technique.
The philosophy is to target the human body's largest organ; the skin; and use it as a modality for healing. By creating a lift, decompressing the subcutaneous layer, offering increased proprioception we can make significant changes to function.
Join Rick Daigle of Medical Minds in Motion as discusses the philosophy behind the tape and how we use a movement based assessment formula for driving the use of Kinesiology Tape.

Kinesio tape is great for if you want to paint racing stripes on yourself to intimidate your opponents. I don't think it's good for anything else. Its popularity dropped considerably between Beijing and London.

one of my interns experimented with some ktape on me. i didn't like it all. felt weird that the tape was pulling on me and now allowing a full ROM.
