Mountain running

Just got back from 9 day camping trip to Acadia National Park with my family. It was a thrill climbing all the mountains barefoot and running along Ocean Drive.

The highlight was when my 17 year old son and I decided to see how fast we could get up the Bee Hive trail which is a .8 mile very steep climb with lots of ladders and great overlooks. Imagine the looks when a barefoot bald guy and a high school football player with a P90X shirt ran by. We did the climb in 11 min and 30 sec.

Probably got the same type of looks as I got when I ran the summit of Mount Hamel during the Canadian Death Race barefoot at the beginning of the month. Especially passing a lot of shoad runners. It was hard not to smile.
