Havent chimed in here in a while, but its been a slow nightshift here. Lets see, just 2 runs this week i guess, both 8.5 miles and surprisingly finished them both within 30 seconds of each other (not trying to either, and not looking at gps at all). I worked long days mon-wed so didnt do any runs then. Might get a long run in Monday or Tuesday so looks like just 17 mi this week.
Looks like my plans have changed, no vacation nor race the end of the month. Which is good and bad. I have signed up for a marathon in October, so now my calendar is blank I might have a chance of getting some better training in for the next month and be OK for it. But not great, my mileage has kind of sucked this year with my work schedule and calf pains. Was thinking of backing out but with some luck and lots of effort maybe I can pull it off still.
Wow can't beleive of the reports of winter conditions already! Say it isnt so! I probably should try to get some morning runs in prior to the marathon. Last year it was quite a shock to the system at the race... I hadnt run much below 60º and bright sun and all the sudden I'm waiting for my longest race ever before dawn and my feet are going numb in the 30's. I hope to ease into that a bit better this year!
