Indigenous Marathon Project

I found some good photos from Australia's Indigenous Marathon Project which was set up by Rob De Castella to give some positive life choices to the native Australians. It would be fantastic if they could rival the Kenyans. The major difference though is the elevation profile of the land, most of Australia is relatively low lying compared with the high lands of Kenya. The photos show the younger kids running without shoes and how we would run if we didn't stick the boat anchors on.

Thank you, Neil, for posting this. The pictures from the Yarrabah run are also interesting. It looks like that run was on a dirt road with some rocky debris, and gravel sections in places. These kids and these kids look like the gravel doesn't change anything about how they run. Wouldn't it be cool if we could all run so effortlessly and without worry on such surfaces?
