Florida Half Ironman

Well I competed in my first half iron man and finished. I did the run in Luna because they would not allow barefoot. My time was horrible, but considering I broke a metatarsal in my foot at mile 6 of the run I am still happy.

Prior to the event I got cleated by one of my players during soccer practice, this probably fractured the bone in my foot, and the stress of the event finished it....sigh...no swimming for a week, no running for 4-6.

I did the one in Haines City Fla. Just ooutside of Orlando at Lake Eva. Lance Armstrong beat me lol. One day when you guys are doing something in the GA area it would be awesome to meet you all. I teach at Marietta High.

When I can run again, we will definitely have a Georgia meetup. It would be nice to meet a lot more of you Georgians!
