Hi!

I d like to know if here are some people with Flat forefeet/Bunions/Fallen transverse arches (i m not shure how it is right in english).

I mean, my medial and lateral arches are allright, by my forefeet became flat (my big toes are a little bit deformed too), so i'm trying going barefoot as treatment.

And i m looking for people with the same problems who go/run barefoot.

my questions:

1) What going/running technics may be adviced?

2) My heel hurts sometimes - does barefooting cause plantar factiit(heel spurs)?

3) What about chi running?

Looking forward to your expierence( positive i hope)

thanks

As to the plantar faciitis...

As to the plantar faciitis... IF the muscles of the foot and those relating to it are strong, the plantar fascia doesn't experience that much stress. If there is a general foot weakness, or some other reason the foot is not strong enough to deal with all the force acting on it, the plantar fascia has to take on forces it was never designed to. So the short answer is yes, running barefoot can cause PF. The solution is to strengthen the foot, reduce the amount of force acting on the foot, or both.

That link is to an article written by one of our friendly barefoot running doctors.
