I just registered for the Carlsbad Marathon (California) taking place on January 27, 2013. It should be a nice winter marathon. Anyone else in or considering it? Prices go up on Aug 14th and the race will usually sell out by October. http://www.carlsbadmarathon.com/ Also noticed a half option if you want to save your feet for theme parks or the beach. I was going to do the half, but if I travel 8 hours, I might as well try the full. Plus, registering for a full that time of year might help keep off some of the beer weight that I always put on in December.
