Ha! Most of the snakes around here are harmless. Although my wife, having grown up in Africa, is deathly afraid of them.I stepped on a snake last summer barefoot while out for a run. I screamed like a little girl and took off at a sprint.

Saw a snake walking up to my condo with my son. I don't want to project my fears onto him so I had to stifle my shriek and stand there pointing it out to him and showing him what a real snake look like. Gives me shivers just thinking about it. That's the one thing I hate about summers here, I'm always watching for snakes because they seem to come out in droves.
mosquitos,flies..Has anyone mentioned ants yet? I've seen ants.
I must admit, I'm scared of snakes too. Must have been Indiana Jones. They are completely harmless in my area, but there is just something about running into a 4 foot snake.I stepped on a snake last summer barefoot while out for a run. I screamed like a little girl and took off at a sprint.
I think you are exaggerating Mike. It's only happened once with you, although I did shriek and jump. Funny enough, where I stepped on the snake was right in the same area.having run with nick i can confirm he does scream like a little girl at the sight of a snake, which i have seen a few, even if it was a mistaken stick.
