Alerts in Tap-a-talk

I noticed an issue with the alerts badge in Tap-a-talk. When I visit this forum it defaults to the Alerts page for some reason. Then to get rid of the badge I have to pull down to reload two times before the badge will go away. Anyone else seen this, using iPhone specifically?

I just got an iPhone 5. Is Tapatalk much better than just going to the BRS site using Safari? I realize it's only a few bucks, but what does it do better?

Well I don't know about newer retina display iPhones, but on my 3GS it's a pain having to zoom in and out on forums that don't have a mobile view version or use tapatalk. I like it because I have several different forums available within the single app. Now if Bike Forums would just get with tapatalk...
