8Week 17 Mileage Reporting ( April 22 to April 28 )

Boulder and I did a 3 mile run Tuesday at 6:00 am. It was still dark with a huge full moon low in the southwest sky. We spotted rabbits and horses and heard lots of song birds.
at the end we caught a great sunrise.

4 miles at Presque Isle on a cloudy and cool Tuesday. It was a quiet day at the park with just a few other walkers and the normal assortment of gulls, geese and ducks. My run was excellent and surprisingly there was not as much tree sap on my feet as I expected there would be.

4.1 miles at Presque Isle on Sunday afternoon. It rained all morning and it brought down plenty of sappy tree seed and leaf casings which formed natural sandals on my soles as I ran. Unfortunately it took me over a half hour at home using orange oil and pumice to get the sticky mess somewhat off. My run was quick and good though. My left calf, however, cramped after the run and has remained really tight. I’m hoping for a quick resolution.
