saw that on the BBC this morning. Great presence of mind to be able to do that under the circumstances.
My hubby is always trying to get me to take a pinch-hitters course in flying. Maybe I should consider it now. Flying is just not my thing though. 
I spent some time learning to fly a light aircraft when I was younger. You'd be surprised how easy it is to pick up the basics.
It's only when you start throwing in navigation, air traffic control, controlled zones and all that stuff that it gets more difficult.

Yea, that stuff sounds boring. I could care less about cumulus versus whatever other clouds he studies. Hee.
