... at least for the next few weeks.
I broke some toes, but not by running barefoot.
So what happened? I did it by getting out of bed. Looks like it is more dangerous for me to get out of bed than to run barefoot. Through the years I've broken 6 to 9 toes getting out of bed half-asleep to go to the john or answer the phone. This time I jumped up to answer the phone and kicked the same phone jack on the wall as I did the last time I broke a toe. I thought I had broke my foot, but after a 3 hour ER visit it was only the last two toes. Poor guys are thinking about going on strike to demand better working conditions.
It's all good. It has given me some time to study and research into why I had an ITBS issue. I bet all of you can guess what the cause was.... too fast, too much, too soon (not barefoot, but my training schedule, period). So, when I restart I'll be working on a new program to help me kick it back up, but the right way this time.
