Over this winter I got a few remarks on the great condition of my feet, despite never wearing shoes. My usual response is that it is because I never wear shoes.
But the truth is a little more complicated. I give my feet a nice hand balm treatment at least once a day. Not with ordinary hand lotion. I was using Bert's Bees, which is great, but a friend turned me onto this local stuff which I keep a steady supply of - Potter's Hand Balm. It was originally made for people who do pottery all day (for their hands, not their feet, I presume).
(Update: There is a web site for the balm I use: http://pottersbalm.com ).
Anyway, I thought that might be helpful info for all you barefooter's out there. Be nice to your feet!
