Hi, new member checking in from Poway, California (suburb of San Diego).
I don't run any more, but have been barefoot hiking since early last year.
I'm 49 and work as a software developer in the defense industry.
I ride a road bike for recreation and also commuting to work.
I had a knee problem which was exacerbated by cycling, but found that hiking and going barefoot has mostly eliminated that issue.
If I was still running, I'd definitely be doing it barefoot.
Thea Gavin, a barefoot hiker from Orange County, CA and I are hoping to set up a group hike in San Diego sometime.
Here's my post in the Hiking sub-forum:

If you're interested in doing a group hike in San Diego, post up!
Thanks for looking and happy bare-footing.
Joe
