Thanks. Update today.
Well, I haven't been dealing with plantar fasciitis these past three years. I have been dealing with tarsal tunnel syndrome. I was wondering why I wasn't healing from PF with the usual treatments! And that explains why those treatments only made "it" feel worse, like foot hell! TTS is much worse than PF and can easily be confused with PF. There are similarities and differences. With TTS, you don't normally have first step of the morning pain as you do with PF, although I did sometimes but not often. With TTS, the pain increases as the day wears on and you are on your feet, whereas with PF, the pain typically (but not always) lessens as the day wears on. This pain is so great, it causes me to sit down several times a day, and the most I can be on my feet is two hours total. With TTS, there's a burning/tingling sensation that runs from your heels to the tips of your toes. TTS interfere with your sleep, where PF is relieved when lying down. So, lucky me once again, I will be having tarsal tunnel release on both feet (there will be a 4" incision under the inner heel to release three ligaments in order to free the three nerves that run through the tarsal tunnel). There is no guarantee I will be able to run again, ever.
Oh, then there's the neuroma surgeries he will be doing on both feet too that I described earlier.
Fun, huh?
