My first race barefoot was
My first race barefoot was last Sunday, in Dresden, Germany:
"13. Morgenpost Dresden Marathon", check out "Ergebnisse/2011/Halbmarathon/#21585".
I ran the half marathon barefoot in 1:31:16.
It´s a flat course on asphalt. I shattered my shoe-PR by more then 5 minutes even though I started the transition to barefoot running less then a year ago. I´m totally surprised and excited about that. Thank you very much, Goddess of Barefoot Running, you treated me very kindly! I also almost immidiately started thinking: "Wow, if I could do this, what else is possible? I really need to know..."
So. Here we go.
Next year (30th of September, 2012) we´re going to race
Berlin Marathon.
3 guys of the BRS Germany Chapter already signed up for it (Paleo, jlubkoll and me, joohneschuh), so why don´t you join us and have some fun together?
Isn´t this a #1 opportunity to visit our beautiful German Capitol AND meet some of the coolest barefoot runners in the whole ... uh ... world BRS Germany Chapter?
Be quick, people are signing up for it superfast (20000 entries already in the first couple of days). We can figure out any details later, like how to meet, whom to run together with, where to party, and so on. It´s going to be amazing!
