Here at the UK Chapter we've noticed that the Royal National Lifeboat Institution – the charity that runs most of the lifeboats that operate around the British coast – is holding its ‘Mayday Mile’ fundraiser while we’re celebrating International Barefoot Running Day.
As so many barefoot runners are also beach lovers and wild swimmers (not to mention all-round good people!) we thought we shouldn’t let the opportunity to support the RNLI in their amazing, lifesaving work pass by.
So, we’d like to encourage everyone to consider including a Mayday Mile in their barefoot walk or run this International Barefoot Running Day. Details of how to take part can be found here: https://themaydaymile.rnli.org.
RNLI crew members regularly save lives with their bare hands. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could help them with our bare feet!
Happy running this IBRD!
