I get a sore groin after running faster than my normal jog speed. Did a 5K yesterday (23:47) and the groin is a bit sore. Nothing debilitating, and it'll go away in a day or so.
If we're talking muscles, then there's my usual strategies: manual massage, heated electric massager, hot compress, active recovery.

Just wondering what I need to strengthen to prevent strain on that particular muscle. Never had this problem until I picked up the routine running thing again a few months ago. Kind of baffling.
Although less baffling is that I don't do any strengthening anymore. Maybe it's time for a regimen of air squats and lunges again.
