2014 International Barefoot Running Day is right around the corner!
Here's the main page full of info: http://thebarefootrunners.org/pages/IBRD/
We're in the process of getting all the 2014 IBRD info ready for you, so in the meantime, be thinking about hosting an IBRD event in your area, but first, please check to see if there is already one on the schedule here: IBRD Local Events Listing
Be sure to check out IBRD Event Listing (http://www.thebarefootrunners.org/pages/ibrd_local_events_listing/) to see if there is an event near you that you can attend. If you don't find one, then think about hosting one of your own. We need you. All of you. To get out there and run. Run with your friends. Run with your family. Just get a bunch of barefooters together and go run somewhere.
You can organize your meetup around a local race going on. If you have the skills, you can host a clinic or workshop.
Once you've decided what you want to do...
Add your event details to our IBRD Events Listing, so others in your area can join you.
Visit the IBRD link on the site for everything you need to know to get your event registered and noticed (http://thebarefootrunners.org/pages/IBRD/).
Register (no cost, simple stuff, just list it): http://thebarefootrunners.org/forms/ibrd-event-registration.3/respond
Get Your Event Noticed to increase your attendance: http://thebarefootrunners.org/library-articles/ibrd-noticed.11/
Use all the resources the BRS has to offer and more to get your attendance up, including our Facebook pages.
And don't forget, we have the 2014 IBRD Tee Shirt DESIGN Contest going on right now, so at the end of this month, be sure to vote on your favorite design. Then find the winning design in the BRS's Store (http://www.zazzle.com/barefootrunnerssoc), and order your tee shirts for IBRD.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].
Stay tuned for more info shortly!
