So, after one lecture about swearing and before the next, halfway through my tour of Finnmark, I drove up to North Cape to run as far north as one possibly can in Europe.
Image here.
I managed 6 kilometres in 2-3 degrees C, with tail wind the first half (easy) and head wind and snow and uphill the second half (less easy). My plan was to do a half marathon, but that proved to be hubris.
The asphalt is unforgiving (I got a blood blister), and weather changes all the time, with lots of cold winds coming in from the sea. But on a nice summer day, a half marathon should be within reach.
The run is here.
Next year I have to go to Svalbard...
