My first ever blog

Tonight I run day one of week six of the C25K. I Have never been a runner before. I am an overweight twenty-one year old and I finally got tired of not liking myself.
I guess my fitness journey begins last november. I stepped on the scale for the first time in a while and could not believe what I had done to myself. It was finally time to do something. I did the 30 day shred and wanted to do somthing different for a while so I started looking online. I found the C25K and did the first day before accidently running into "born to run". That silly book changed everything. Shoes came off and suddenly running was fun. I was tired after every of the program but it felt so good that I didnt dread it like I had all the other workouts I had tried up to this point. After I discover something I always have to tell my family. Both my mom and husband are on week six with me of the C25K and my dad started last week in the first week. (mom and my husband are barefoot too). I experienced my first "runners high" last week with my longest run to date and I can only see good things ahead. I do live in Canada so I am not too keen on taking off my shoes outside while its so cold so I do lots of running in the indoor track. Looking forward to running outside and maybe getting a few funny looks. Me and my husband are the towns first barefoot runners (its a very small town) and we are both looking farward to hitting up the tracks outside in the spring.
