I ran a 5K yesterday morning and was one of hundreds of Barefoot Runners to compete. I think I was the only one, though, not wearing a leash....nor did I try to sniff any of the other runners' bottoms.
The race was the "Metropolitan Veterinary 5K" in Audubon, PA, and was run to raise money for emergency veterinary services - though I am a little fuzzy on that side of things. Its course happened to run past my house and I just couldn't see missing it. In fact, I ran the 1.25 miles to the start, ran the run, and then ran home. It was a nearly perfect morning's workout for me.
