First post on here, read Born To Run kind of by chance a few weeks ago and everything made total sense. Read a couple of other books and Barefoot KenBob's seemed to be the easiest to relate to!
Since then done a few weeks of foot strengthening exercises and 3 barefoot runs!
The first was about 200 yards and I got a small blister on one foot.
The 2nd was about 500 yards, with some of it on rough sidewalk, which actually felt great!
For the 3rd I managed about 2/3 of a mile, with a 1/2 mile walking warm-up, again about half of it on the rough sidewalk.
No muscle aches, even in feet, my feet just felt nice and warm the rest of the day!
Will stick to that distance for the next week or so and build up slowly from there, it's really exciting actually! I was one of those people always searching for the right running shoes, who knew I had them all along! :)

Welcome again, Mike! I see you joined the LA Chapter. Are you not in the UK currently? We have a UK Chapter too you can also join if you like.
