While I am bf the vast majority of the time, there are times when we train in shoes, wearing various clothing to verify technique - especially in self-defense. One interesting note, a barefoot kick is more powerful that with shoes. The impact absorption from footwear lessens power and...

    Foot shape

I have read over the years about differences in foot shape between shod and bare footed persons. So I got to wonderings about how my feet compare to those concepts. I have worn shoes and gone barefoot at different times in my life, including 25 years of martial arts ( training and fighting...

    TRAILBALL

Sounds interesting, and I appreciate the feedback. I like supporting the idea via purchasing the ball. As far as the question regarding a challenge for Wyoming.. at the moment, I would be the only participant. ;) If I can garner interest in the idea, I'll let you know.

    TRAILBALL

That looks fun. I was thinking about something like this when I first read Born To Run years ago. Anything to motivate the running, and makes the process a bit more social. Maybe add in some kicking between players to mange obstacles. Are there 'rules' in english, or is it simply have your...

I have enjoyed my attempts at running here in Star Valley, WY. As a transplant from Texas, I have been struggling with how to keep it up in the winters. I'll do some research this summer and into this next fall, and post me experiences.

    Funny Looking Shoes

Well.. I have been reading alot and learning from others that have "walked this way" before. I decided to try a pait of Vibram KSOs. I have admit. When I just put them one, they felt weird. I got worried I had bought the wrong size. But then it dawned on me... uncliped toenails don't mix with...

    Begining

So I went on a trip last week, taking my family (four awesome kids) to california to LEGOland, Seaworld, and Disneyland. But more importantly (hehe) I decided to read up on Running during the drive. So from my trusty Kindle I downloaded a random book called, "Born to Run" - you might have heard...
