Wildwood trail half marathon - BF

Had a great race running Wildwood trail Half Marathon.

Ran barefoot, finished in 1 hour 57 minutes, placed 20th from 170 overall (official pace 8:31).

This was by far the fastest (and longest) trail run I have done so far and at the end I felt tired but great overall.

It was out and back route and the first half was uphill, total elevation gain 925 ft.

I took nothing with me (no water, no food, no emergency shoes) and ran very light.

Feet were quite tender after the race but amazingly that went away in about two hours. No knee pain running fast downhills made me very happy and confident.

Congratulations! I took a quick look at the race photos on the web site. Looks like you weren't the only barefoot runner. Travis Burke ran the 10k as well. Good job to both of you!

I agree. It's nice to see people running trail races barefoot. Stomper and Para have both conquered some serious terrain barefoot. Congrats, Para!
