I kind of like the title of this thread, so rather than start a new one, I figured I might try to expose this one
For anyone interested in running at Disney World (and approximately 25,000 people were interested this past event) I made a Google Map of the course with mile markers, water, food and aid stations all labeled. It's kind of plain, but the advantage is that you can zoom in and see where you'll be from point to point, which you can't do on Disney's map.
I know the Goofy and Dopey Challenge are sold out, but there are still slots in the Full Marathon. I'm hoping to run barefoot myself. The course is about 95% pavement, and since Disney allows no glass containers on their property, I imagine the risk of injury is pretty low
I've run the race a few times, but always with my sandals on, so I admittedly didn't pay attention to how much gravel there was and stuff like that. Definitely running around the baseball field, you're running on some fine pieces of gravel
Absolutely
Epcot's parking lot, in particular, is some seriously hardcore pavement
By the way, for any lunatics that ARE registered to run at Disney this coming January, they have opened up the site to submit your proof of time, for corral placement
