Pushing my limits

Ran Heart Breaker Half Marathon on Saturday in 1:53:59.
My toughest barefoot half marathon yet.
1 mile on a smooth asphalt
12 miles on rough chip seal country roads
1 mile on a crushed gravel road

It was also cold with a light drizzle the whole time so the roads were wet.
Underestimated the weather so by mile 6 my forearms and especially wrists were frozen piece of ice. Last three miles really feeling some soreness in the balls of my feet.
No visible damage after the race, just the soreness.
Two deep tissue blood blisters surfaced in the next two days but recovery is really fast.
Really happy with the speed on a challenging surface, improved my last HM time by 3 minutes.

Wow, that red blood spot looks tender!

But hey, that BRS tee shirt looks AWESOME!

Congrats on your run. I never knew there was nice asphalt until I did my 5k on Saturday. The road I run on is an old beat up road... It isn't much fun at all!

Badass! The footwear is the best I've ever seen :)

Thanks everyone ! :)
The red blood spot looks tender on the photo but it was not so bad. It was buried deep inside the thick plantar skin, never surfaced out and now (after 4 days) it is gone.
Got two more shots from the race:
