Preparing for Ultra Trail 50K

Since I've recovered so fast after the 44K mountain marathon 3 weeks ago I decided to do a 27K semi trail race yesterday with a friend of mine. That went so great too. And then I also decided to register for a 50K trail Ultra the 18th of October. That's 7 weeks from now.

This is so exciting and also a bit scary.. I'm starting to get that thing about if a goal doesn't scare you it's not big enough.. I don't really know if I should follow a set running program or just go by how I'm feeling this time. I lean towards just going by how I'm feeling: Get a long run in every week, do some speed and interval runs every week, do my walks and the workouts in the gym and do my stretching. I've found out that if I warm up a bit on the crosstrainer in the gym and then stretch really good afterwards that speeds up my recovery from my runs tremendously :D

Anyway. Just wanted to tell you all this. I'll keep you all updated :)

I'm a real ultra runner now ;)
I completed the 50K in 6:36:02 and it went great.
I should write a real race report. I just wanted to let you know :D
