Maybe slush isn't so bad...

I was cussing the 2" layer of slush on the trail as I ran yesterday afternoon, though I really didn't feel so bad after my 4 miles except for heavily challenged stability keeper muscles in my lower legs. The feet stayed comfortable enough despite the holes in the toes of my old Vibrams.

Now I'm looking at the forecast for tonight and tomorrow - 10" or more of fine snow, 50 mph winds and temps of 1o to 12 F. Oh, joy.

I hope to be skiing to work tomorrow if it ever starts snowing hard enough - nothing more than light snow with about 5" inches down right now.

The only pain is that they've shut Central Park because of high winds so I'll have to be on the streets.

Good for you! It'll be a while before we can do skin to ground again, I'm afraid.
