Malibu Half Marathon vs. Santa Clarita Half Marathon

Hi fellow barefooters,



I recenlty finished the long beach half barefoot... my first completely barefoot half. In November, there is the Malibu half marathon and Santa Clarita half marathon... wondering which one to do. It looks like the Santa Clarita half is on a new course that uses a bike path/trail system. Malibu is on PCH. I hate to be a wimp... but any ideas which might be a better running surface for barefoot? I'm trying to better my time of 2:25 from Long Beach and the running surface is one factor.

I've run Santa Clarita a half

I've run Santa Clarita a half dozen times, and spotted Barefoot Ken Bob there at least once. Pretty much all asphalt.
