it's acceptable to go barefoot in Thailand?

i'm going to make a trip to thailand and i heard many people go barefoot there but i'm not sure, anyone knows if is it true?

yep but there are statues of people naked too in my city and many cities of the world and if you want to go naked in public like the statues (i would do it i like nudism) people would insult you and police arrest you :/

Did you mean running barefoot at park? that's totally fine. but if you mean walking around in city it probably a little weird
and some shopping mall, restaurant may not ok with that.

its only normal to monks to be barefoot it appears, they walk barefoot in the cities (buddhist monks)
