Figured I should do a full fledged review on these puppies

Ground Feel - 5* there is none, sort of the point. Bombing downhill trails is so fun with these
Zero Drop - 5
Flexibility - 5
Toe Box - 5
Weight - 3 maybe one of the two negatives of this shoe, they are a bit heavy compared to other minimalist trail shoes
Comfort - 5
Fit - 5
Traction - 5 for the sandy rock runs I do, nor sure about mud.
Durability - 3 I've only put 70 miles of rocky trails on them but there is some interesting wear on the soles, almost like the rubber is breaking off. I'm going to contact Altra and report back with what they say. The rest of the shoe seems pretty durable.
Performance - 5
Cross Training - N/A only have used for trail runs
Design - 4 the only difference I would like them to make is lighter weight if possible.
Aesthetics - 5 good looking shoe

No I haven't. I pulled them out last night and it seems like even without the rock plate you will still have a decent amount of protection. They fit so well with the insoles I wonder if the additional room would make them fit differently?

Looking forward to see how you like them.
