yesterday a chiro who has been charged and is awaiting sentencing for insurance fraud came to my school yesterday. timely. he was released by the first judge for all the community service he did including his presentations at schools and hospitals where many docs also commit fraud. he warned don't do it even though it's so easy. he's looking at 5-10. the govt wants to make an example of him and not set precedent by letting him go. sad. only insurance co's lost money. how many bankers went to jail from the bailout?

Insurance companies don't lose money to fraud, the people paying the premiums do. And if you believe your employer is footing the bill for that.....WRONG! That employer portion is income that would have been yours. The same people hurt by investment bank fraud are damaged by insurance fraud, whether medical, auto, home, or other. Besides, we all know bankers are in business to make money, no hidden agenda. Doctors are supposed to be making money as just a side effect of healing people. When we find a doctor screwing people over just to make $ we should throw the book at them.
