United Kingdom

Welcome to the United Kingdom Chapter of the Barefoot Runners Society!

Like many of you reading this introduction, I have been plagued by injuries and as a Sports Therapist I have attempted to fix hundreds of injuries. I say attempted because runners injuries never really seem to go away. They change in location, symptoms or intensity. But never stop.Christmas 2009 I was in New York and saw people running round Central Park in bare feet or, in what I now know to be Vibram Five Fingers. I saw the shoes for sale in all the sports shops, I bought Born to Run to read on the flight home and in a flash of inspiration, I realised that I may have found the answer to runners aches and pains. So, thank you for joining me on this new path to pain and injury free running. Spread the word and lets change running one odd look at a time. Martyn
