Need this cold weather to stop soon

Been super cold here recently. Although summer is barefoot time for me, I find myself liking the dark winter nights for running, less people, bugs and glass. When I had my acreage, my best runs would be down uninhabited country roads in on dark overcast/moonless nights, something surreal about it!

Thin or Thick Sole: What's the Best Type of Shoe for Running?

I take my hat off to you!! If you can run in -20C with those and a pair of socks, you're a better man than I! Lol! I used neoprene water shoes for the longest time, with extra socks, and just lived with froze toes! Have since switched to Altra Superior 2.0. Far from minimalist, but...

Thanks, unfortunately the dog in the pic no longer walks this earth. He died of cancer awhile back, but I have a new pup ( Australian Cattle Dog) who takes no issue with running!!

    Longest layoff ever!

It's been a super crappy winter for running here! The first part before Christmas had lots of freezing rain turning the town into a virtual skating rink! Almost impossible just to walk, let alone run. February found us in a deep freeze with day time highs being -20C without the wind. The pic was...

Thin or Thick Sole: What's the Best Type of Shoe for Running?

If you're running in cold temps, then thick sole is what you want. Running for 10 years in Edmonton Alberta area and you want insulation between your feet and ground! Tried everything minimalist and my feet froze!

    Tadeevo

Update! Went on a 5 mile hike over river bed, see pic. Must have cross the creek about 20 times! Thought for sure my Tads would be shredded, but the held up! No tears! Soles were very grippy during stream crossings. Only complaint is I have to stop a few times for debris removal.

    Increasing mileage

I've reread your post several times! This is so true!! I find most of my injuries occur during the winter months when I have something on my feet! Winter up here can be 7-8 months long! Excellence advise!

How do you determine you different cadence?
