    Made my own sandals

Those look great. It looks like you came up with a design that's somewhat similar to the Unshoes Pah Tempe.

So, what are you giving up for Lent?

I'm sorry, the correct answer was "shoes." You are now all out of the group.

    My Health Manifesto

I've been experimenting with fruitarianism for the last 6 weeks and from a daily performance standpoint I actually feel a lot better. (I'll be writing a post about it soon). I find I don't need anywhere near as much fat and protein as I used to think I did, though fat is readily available in...

Haha, believe it or not I didn't set out to start a fight when I wrote the post. I was just really struck be the parallels--there was a lot of foot washing/drying/bandaging going on, and the folks in huaraches (aka Jesus sandals)--and there were a few--just added to the similarities.

At what distance of a run do you carry water and back-up fuel?

I generally don't bring anything unless the run is over 15. (The exception is if the weather is really hot then I'll bring water.) You can definitely train your body to need less fuel on long runs (or more accurately, you train your body to burn fat as a fuel source); when I started training for...

    The Barefoot Running Book

I just finished my review of The Barefoot Running Book by Jason Robillard (Last Place Jason here). Overall, I thought it was really good. I would recommend it to any beginners on this forum. It distills a lot of the information on forums like this along with lessons taken from Pose Running...
