    Mileage Reporting 43rd Week 2013

3-miles brisk walk at lunch in "toes". I'll take it easy and pick up the running next week.

    Mileage Reporting 43rd Week 2013

First run after over a week with a cold. OK, really only a 1/2 mile run and 2-1/2 mile walk. My feet are a little roughed up. I think walking is harder on my soles than running, since I tend to "scrub" the ground more. I'm a little discurraged by my lack of progress, but I'm not giving up yet.

    Mileage Reporting 42nd Week 2013

Grr - got a cold this weekend, no running yet this week. Maybe tomorrow, Friday for sure. Frustrating, since I just started to get some momentum. My legs are starting to itch for a run, so that's good I guess.

    Use the Sidewalk!

I agree "in concept" with the cyclist, but I'm betting he got the ticket mostly for being obnoxious and argumentative. The video didn't show what he was doing before the ticket. I'll bet he was just cruising down the middle of the travel lane looking for a confrontation. I'd give him more cred...

    Mileage Reporting 41st Week 2013

1/2 mile walk + 2 mile run + 1/2 mile walk. I'd hoped to get in a little more running distance, but I'm just not there yet.

    Mileage Reporting 41st Week 2013

Sunday - Got in some mountain biking with my wife and kids. Very easy on the effort side, but we rode for about 2-hours. Monday - 1 mile walk + 2 continuous miles running. Ran at an easy enough pace to have a conversation with my running partner. I'm feeling confident I'll be back up to...

    Mileage Reporting 40th week 2013

No running today. My "backyard Fresh" eggs appearantly weren't so fressh. I'll spare everyone the gory details.

    Mileage Reporting 40th week 2013

1 mile run + 1 mile walk + 3/4 mile run + 1/4 mile walk. I did get a positive "ooh barefoot - you're hardcore" from a cute gal running the other way. Unfortunatly I was too out of breath to give a witty reply.:dead:..At least I was running, not walking, when she passed.

    Mileage Reporting 40th week 2013

Wow, I appreciate the "likes" for my first run in awhile. This is why I come here - to suppliment my often lackadaisical motivation. Did 'nuther 1.5 miles barefoot at lunch today. One of my former lunchtime run locations is now off my list. They are in proccess of replacing the grass...

    Mileage Reporting 40th week 2013

First real BF run in 18-months. 1 mile on concrete, 1/2 mile on asphalt. Feet feel good. Looking forward to more. My 11 yo son ran the first mile with me BF too.

    Getting back on the wagon

Yah - that's me here in 'Vegas (Henderson actually). It's the long hot summers that kill my motivation and always leave me out of shape when the weather finally cools down. Speaking of bikes, I just started riding again, and my butt is sore too  . Actually, I'm surprized at how well my...

    Getting back on the wagon

Hi all - I'm not new - I just "fell off the wagon" for the last 18-months or so. I had been running BF 5k several times a week, with my max up to 6 miles or so. I got sidetracked with "life", but I'm hoping to get back into the routine. I recently re-started walking 1-mile barefoot with no...

Weekly mileage 34th week of 2012

Running milage for the entirety of this summer = zero. I won't offer up any pathetic excuses, but it's time to get my feet, lungs and legs back in shape. I walked 1 mile yesterday, and my hard-earned plantar skin feels about 40% as tough as it was in May. I plan on proceeding with evening...

    Books

Michael Sandler's "Barefoot Running" is the only one I finished (along with the ubiquitous BTR of course). Sandler's tone get's a little hippy-dippy-squishy at times, but the overall theme of the book was on track and helpful to me when I was just starting to run. I should read it again to get...

    Week 23 of 2012

1.5 miles barefoot at lunch. Got a little break from the heat, so I went out and took advantage of it.

Actually, I'm a connoiseur. Kettle's should be used for cooking, not lifting, as exhibited by Rachel Ray.:p

One pathetic mile this morning. My first run in almost 2-weeks. [insert lame arse excuse here]

Enough with the yibber yabber - lets see some pictures! I don't know if this is someone noteable, but she certainly knows how to surf.

Saturday 3-Miles Barefoot. My only run this week:mad:. I gotta get in the summer early morning routine, dammit!
