  1. Megan is taking after her moms

Just like her moms, she has a go to breakfast after church. :D We go out to breakfast after UU services every Sunday. We’ve already become familiar fixtures. They know what we like. Megan’s favorite: “mini-chocolate pancakes”. :D
  2. We have new neighbors (and Megan has new playmate)

The Peterson family recently moved into the neighborhood. The Petersons are our friends Todd & Zach, along with their son Chris. So nice to be close again!
  3. 2021

How is everyone doing in the new year? Hopefully this year is more normal than last year.
  4. Guess Megan has weaned

She hasn't asked to nurse for several days. I'm gratified she nursed as long as she did (she turned 3 last month), and that she weaned on HER terms.
  5. How is everyone holding up?

Steph has been teaching remotely for a month, getting the hang of it. Can't believe my little girl is getting ready to turn 3! I'm a little disappointed in one thing though: it looks like she'll be weaning soon. I'm SO grateful she nursed as long as she did.
  6. Steph's football league had a virtual 5K fundraiser

OF COURSE I did it barefoot. Probably the only one who did.
  7. Steph's football league had a virtual fundraiser a 5K

This week Stephanie's football league held a virtual 5K fundraiser. OF COURSE I did it barefoot. Probably the only barefooter.
  8. Stephanie recently got bad news

The football league she plays in recently decided that their 2020 season can't go on as scheduled. She's heartbroken, because she loves playing, and loves her teammates. The bright side she's hanging on to: has ability to focus on teaching and her family life. She's fully expecting to come back...
  9. Just checking in gang

Suffolk shut down, so Stephanie is teaching remotely. No biggie, most stuff is on Blackboard anyway. I decided NOT to run for now. I keep up with weights, calisthenics and yoga. Megan LOVES having both mommies around full time. She's good about letting Stephanie get her work done. And I'm...
  10. Caronavirus

Suffolk has decided no more on campus classes after Spring Break. Stephanie is bummed, but understands completely. It's not terrible for her because most of her material goes on Blackboard anyway.
  11. Longtime no post

So sorry I'm not around anymore gang!! My tablet acts up when I try to visit the site. AND live has become incredibly busy!! To recap the last few months: we moved from Cambridge to Sudbury. Stephanie is gearing up for her first Finals as a professor. Megan is growing SO MUCH! (I'm still...
  12. Anyone living West of Boston?

As you may have heard, Stephanie and I will soon be moving to Sudbury. Anyone live out that way? How's the running out there? On non-running notes: I'll need a space to create my art, and does anyone know if there's a LLL chapter out there?
  13. Time to start house hunting

Stephanie has been extended a more permanent job offer, so now we can afford a starter home! We're expecting to stay in the Boston area, but we're officially becoming suburbanites. :). Any tips for house hunting? Anything realtors WON'T tell you?
  14. Tragedy at Norte Dame Cathedral

SO SAD! I went to Paris for my honeymoon, and would run past the cathedral on my morning run. Hopefully they can restore her to her former glory.
  15. Glad I'm not racing today

it's rainy here in Boston. NOT a fan of racing in the rain. On the plus side: Megan is old enough to KINDA get what's happening.
  16. Any SB parties?

Any Americans having a SB watch party? One of Steph’s teammates and her wife are hosting a party. I'm not a football fan, but the commercials and halftime show should be cool.
  17. Anyone have a race today?

No Christmas Day events around here. It WOULD be cool if there were.
  18. Decided to wean myself off honey

I've heard that agave is just as good, and even healthier than honey. Anyone a fan?
  19. My pieces were installed this week

They were excited to see my pieces. (Mostly MA historical scenes, mixed with academic themes). One of the administrative members saw my wedding ring, asked my husband's name. I smiled and replied,"Stephanie." He was unfazed by my reply. He smiled when I mentioned she's a new professor. He knows...
  20. How was everyone's Thanksgiving?

We had a small, but hectic, Thanksgiving. Todd & Zach were preoccupied with Chris's arrival, so we had a small crowd: Steph, Megan, our respective parents. One cool thing: Megan had her first Thanksgiving solids. :)
